A Word of Thanks
from Br. David
Many thanks to the numerous members of
the Order of Preachers who have supported me with prayer, encouragement, fraternal
correction and love during the past six years. I would not be here today without your
ability to see God at work in my life. Thank you.
To my family, thank you for your love, example, dedication and commitment. You gave me
my Catholic faith, cultural heritage, work ethic, among many other gifts, for which I am
grateful. I am deeply indebted to each of you for nurturing my vocation. I especially say
thank you to my parents. You are amazing people! Your willingness to say yes to life many
years ago provided me with this opportunity to say yes to God today. Mom and Dad your
faithfulness to your vocation of marriage is the human beginning of my religious vocation.
Most of all thanks to Almighty God for giving me this amazing vocation to preach the
Good News as a Dominican friar -- the Good News of God's great redeeming love for each of
us expressed supremely in his Son, Jesus Christ. May we each daily encounter the living
God who loves us with a redeeming love, so that by our transformation in Christ we may in
turn transform the world around us. |
