| Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament What is adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament?
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is simply giving worship to God before his true
presence in the Eucharist through exposition. For centuries, Catholics have come
before the Lord to adore through prayer and contemplation. The Eucharist is exposed
in a monstrance, which usually looks like a cross with a window in the center that will
allow the Eucharist to be gazed upon. Adoration is about coming God in mind, body,
and spirit. Adoration is about freely giving yourself to God by simply coming before
Him and opening yourself to His graces. Adoration is about listening to God and
being attentive to how God makes His will known in your life.
