Journal
January 28, 2003
In a very general
way, here is an account of the day's significant events.
9:00 AM
The Diffinitorium continues their work.
They are beginning to finish various pieces of
work. Perhaps in another two to three days, they will be looking at the end of their
time here. When this occurs, the Acta will be mailed to Rome for approval
and the waiting begins. We should have the final edits completed sometime today.
Once the Acta is approved by Rome, we move to the third and final stage.
In the final stage:
The Provincial will promulgate the Acta;
It will be sent to the printers for the final run
and binding;
It will be mailed to the members of the Province,
various other provinces, and Rome;
Extra copies will be kept on hand for the
incoming novices, and for the next twenty capitulars of the Twenty-third Provincial
Chapter in January 2004.
The web site will receive its final update, but
will remain available on www.OPWest.org.
Two finished copies will be stored in our
Province Archives, along with all the letters of appointment and election, minutes,
nominations, petitions, photographs, reports, and other documents of the Chapter.

1:00 PM
The Diffinitorium resumed their work.
3:00 PM
The final signatures were obtained from the Diffinitorium. These
signatures appear
in the Acta, and indicate the approval of the Diffinitorium. The Provincial
Chapter is now officially finished.
The Diffinitors are preparing to go home in the
morning. There is still some clean-up work to be done by the secretaries.
Tonight, the secretaries need to print a number of unofficial copies for Rome, the
Diffinitors, and our Archive Records. We are now in phase three. There has
been a flurry of activity today. |

The Secretaries are elated (L-R) Brs. James Thompson, Dismas Sayre, John Evans. |
More information will be
posted tomorrow, and more announcements soon.
