Dominican Laity Receives the Bl. Margaret di Castello Group

The highlight of the recent Western U.S. Lay Provincial Council meeting was the reception into the Order of the Bl. Margaret di Castello Group for the Deaf (San Francisco).  Karen Woods, OPL, Provincial President, received the members of this group, while fr George Matanic, OP, represented the Master, and Gretchen Hombach, OPL, interpreted in American Sign Language.   Friend and formator, fr Austin Green, OP, of the Southern U.S. Province, along with the members of the Provincial Council witnessed and celebrated the group's big moment.  The obvious joy of each of these special new members of the Order was infectious, and all shared in their reaching this moment for which they'd all longed.  Our new Dominicans are Rev. Thomas Coughlin, Moderator and Founder, his mother Bertha Coughlin, Janet Beckley, Philippe Furtado, Jong-Ok Jung, Jacques Markensy, Louis Reside, Paul Simonich, Patrick Titgah, and Gregoire Youbara - all now happily OPLs at last.
