Br. Isaiah
Mary Molano, OP
“The Lord called me from birth, from
my mother’s womb he gave me my name” (Is 49:1) I was born in The City of
Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, PA. When I was ten,
my father received a job opportunity that made the family move to Fresno,
CA.
After High School, I
attended the University of California Riverside, majoring in Creative
Writing. Within weeks of moving to Riverside, I found myself entrenched
with the ins-and-outs of my second home, St Andrew’s Newman Center, the
local Catholic Church. It is staffed by the Western Dominican Province. I
also had a life outside the Newman Center. While at UCR, I worked closely
with Shards: A Radio Experience, a half-hour radio show on campus.
I would like to be a campus minister and work within mass
media, writing fiction and screenplays.
Currently, I am
studying to obtain a Masters in Divinity at the Dominican School of
Philosophy and Theology in Berkeley, CA.
