Peter Rogers, OP
Fr. Peter enjoyed his first career as an elementary school teacher and administrator in
American overseas schools before joining the Dominicans. During the years as an educator,
he was away from the Church. However, soon after, Jesus blessed him with a calling back to
the Catholic Church. After three years of discernment, he felt the Holy Spirit calling him
to the priesthood and to the Dominican Order. He entered the novitiate in 1996. His
M.A. Theology thesis centered around embryonic stem cell research and the moral
effects. After ordination to the priesthood, he received his first assignment
to St. Dominic Parish, San Francisco, CA.
