Late last year, we released our first documentary, Sleigh Ride: Christmas in the Last Frontier. We are pleased to announce that the film just received two Telly Awards!
The film won gold in the Film & Shorts category of the People's Telly Award (which is decided by supporters like you!) and bronze in the Film & Shorts – Holiday and Seasonal category according to over 250 leading media experts!
For this, we are so grateful to God, our colleagues at Openlight Media, to you our friends, and The Telly Awards Judging Council.
This latest announcement follows upon a list of other nominations. So far, the film has been nominated as a finalist for the Catholic Media Association's Gabriel Awards, Official Selection at the International Christian Film and Music Festival, Official Selection at the Anchorage International Film Festival, and Best Documentary Nominee at the Faith in Film Festival.
This is a monumental achievement for the Western Dominican Friars, their media team, and our partners at Openlight Media. But for us, winning these accolades is not about fame and prestige—it's about reaching audiences (secular and Christian) with truth through beauty. And the truth of Sleigh Ride is this: to Christ, every single member of His Church—to the farthest ends of the earth—matters and is desired at the celebration of Christ's Incarnation.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. If you would like to help us reach a wider audience with even greater beauty, please consider supporting the next phase of this project, Mission Alaska: To the Ends of the Earth.
