Please pray for the repose of the soul of our brother, The Rev. Paschal Salisbury, O.P., who died on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Ordained in 1967, Fr. Paschal was a priest for 56 years and impacted countless lives during his many years of ministry. Known for his gentleness, kindness and hearty laugh, Fr. Paschal held many assignments during his life as a Dominican friar, including chaplaincy work at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, MO, at the Mayo Clinic at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN, and the VA Rehabilitation Center in White City, OR. He also served in pastoral ministry and leadership positions, including at All Saints Catholic Student Center at Arizona State University, St. Dominic Church in San Francisco, CA, the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus in San Francisco, CA, and Holy Rosary Priory in Portland, OR.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Portland, Oregon – Holy Rosary Church
- Prayer Vigil - Friday, August 25th at 7 pm followed by a reception
- Memorial Mass - Saturday, August 26th at 10 am
San Francisco, California – St. Dominic Church
- Funeral Vigil - Tuesday, August 29 at 7:30 pm followed by a reception
- Funeral Mass - Wednesday, August 30 at 10 am
Benicia, California – St. Dominic Cemetery
- Burial – Wednesday, August 30 at 2:00 pm
