Jubilee Assembly 2016

From June 20-24, friars from around the Province gathered in Southern California for a Fraternal Assembly in celebration of the 800th Jubilee of the Order of Preachers.  The event began with a Votive Mass of the Holy Name and Vespers, followed by dinner and an exhortation. The following days included presentations and a panel discussion, as well as Mass at St. Catherine's Military Academy and then at Christ Cathedral in Anaheim. The final day focused on a visit to Mission San Juan Capistrano and Mass at the historic Serra Chapel where Saint Junipero Serra, O.F.M., ministered to the people of California.
