Master Of Sacred Theology

On December 3, Fr. Michael Dodds, O.P., received the title "Sacrae Theologiae Magister" (Master of Sacred Theology). This rare degree is only bestowed upon the most distinguished scholars in the Order of Preachers. After teaching for at least 10 years, and publishing books and articles of scholarly acclaim, Dominican professors are eligible to be nominated by their local province. The Master of the Order of Preachers and his council approved Fr. Michael's nomination earlier this year, decreeing that he should receive the biretta and ring appropriate for this honor.
