St. Jude Novena and Pilgrimage
Fr. Boniface Willard, O.P., will be the preacher at this year's Solemn Novena in honor of Saint Jude Thaddeus, celebrated from October 20-28, 2015. Masses will be offered at St. Dominic’s Church in San Francisco (the home of the Shrine of Saint Jude) at 8am and 5:30pm on weekdays, and at 11:30am on Sunday. October 25th.
Recitation of the rosary will take place before all Masses, and priests will be available for Confession. Devotees may come forward to receive a blessing with a relic of Saint Jude after Mass.
The annual pilgrimage in honor of Saint Jude will occur on Saturday, October 24th at 10am. Transportation will be available from St. Dominic's Church to Immaculate Conception Church (where the procession will begin) between 7am and 9am. The pilgrimage is approximately four miles and will end at St. Dominic's Church for a bilingual Solemn Mass at 12pm, with the Most Rev. William J. Justice, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, presiding.
